El FESTIVAL CARLOTAN ROCK es el primer y único festival de Rock en Español en las Carolinas. Se inicio en el 2004 como un esfuerzo para promocionar la música y el talento de la comunidad joven latina que se desarrolla rápidamente en Charlotte. Durante sus 5 años de historia este evento ha ganado un apoyo tremendo de los músicos y fans que se interesan por el género rock y la música popular independiente. Esto ha generado una explosión y crecimiento en la cantidad de público que asiste a este festival, así como también de varias bandas de otros estados que se interesan por participar cada año.
Sus productores son fieles creyentes del apoyo hacia la música local e independiente del área, es por eso que ponen mucho esfuerzo en fortalecer la imagen del festival para que este tenga un impacto positivo en la comunidad. Así mismo la producción que se incluye es de primera clase, al mismo nivel de cualquier show que se pueda presentar en la ciudad de una banda consolidad internacionalmente.
Finalmente nuestra misión es lograr crear un punto de encuentro de la música independiente en español que se desarrolla en los Estados Unidos. Queremos que este punto de encuentro tenga una exposición permanente cada año y que perfile a las bandas que se presentan hacia los medios locales y nacionales.
Festival Carlotan Rock 2008
Este año los productores del evento han decidido retornar al lugar que vio nacer al festival en el 2004. Skandalo’s será la sede del FESTIVAL CARLOTAN ROCK 2008.

CARLOTAN ROCK FESTIVAL is the first and only Spanish Rock Festival in the Carolinas. It was born in 2004 to promote music and talent of the rapidly crowing young Latin community of Charlotte. During its 5 year of history, the event has gained the support of musicians and fans alike interested in the genre of rock and independent, popular music. There has been an explosive growth both in the public attending the event as well as in the bands eager to perform for them.
The creators of the festival believe in the need to support local and independent music in our area and for our community. To this effect, the festival is of the highest quality and is comparable to those organized for well known, international bands.
Our mission is to create a meeting point for independent, Spanish language music in its development stage in the United States. We wish to establish a permanent, yearly meeting place to showcase local bands.
Carlotan Rock Festival 2008
